It has all the makings of a good app. The proof will be in the pudding in a few days!

This app should be removed from the store. Download at your peril. It locked up my phone and Apple could not fix it without a complete reset - yes, go back to factory resetting. It should go without saying that it the trouble is not worth it!! I am extremely unhappy considering they claim to have fixed the bugs in last years.

Crashes from begining

Bought this app to follow the 2012 Dakar, not see results from last year. Get on the ball. Looks to be cool but there is no new content.

This is the crappiest news source for Dakar possible. Absolutely worthless.

Hours after completion of the first stage, and this app continues to provide only stats from the previous years rally. Absolutely useless. All the videos are the same 8-second map overview. The "news" was last updated 4 days prior to the race. The first stage race results are from 2011! Only the maps and the forums link seems to work well, and everyone on the forums are in an uproar over how outrageous it is to actually pay for this app and get only frustration while the race is on. I can see these problems leading up to the race, but day one is over. Come on folks, fix your app that you charge for! I want my money back.

Not recommend, the website is much better.

As others said the information is out of date by a year worst case and four days best case. Update - The app is now displaying current information after an update or two. Probably worth the price, but Ive gotten used to using the website while the app wasnt working and find that more current and as easy to use.

good thing i waited.after a week of racing,this app is now free.looks okay.i like the layout.information is as current as the website.but for them to sell an app like this,let me tell ASO that you should always keep this free.how can you sell an app that aims to promote the sport?i live in the US, and the only way i get coverage of the dakar is through cable tv.not many americans are aware or a fan of this sport.keep this app free then maybe more will watch it.

I think Dakar, ASO, & FIA need to learn about social media. This app was always behind in updates. Easier to go to web page, unless you live in the US. All you got was a summary of bikes and cars. Very disappointing. Wasnt worth the money. It was a total waste. With a rally so big, it is sad to see an app this weak, and social media so weak.

This app worked flawlessly for me during the 2012 Dakar so I am very excited to see it back for 2013. All the essentials are there. Invaluable for following a race like this. Coupled with local radio coverage youre all set. Superb design, really good work from ASO (think TdF next?).

Nice launch page but app is useless as it crashes just after launch.

Nice app but only works for one second. It crashes!! Hope they fix is soon as the rally is starting.

Please change the flags in the map. Perus flag is in Chile and Chiles is in Peru. This is a big error.

Poor, even if free.

DAKAR is a great rally , this app is not.

The app works BUT its still 3 weeks old on the news and NO rankings as yet, so totally useless. Please sort it out!!!
